I reallyyyyy tried to convince myself on the Mega, but I just couldn’t do it. Even if you want a bit more travel, the Lyrik can be taken out to 160mm. Meaning you’re going to really enjoy climbing more, but still be slacked out going down.
Second, the two bikes have nearly identical geo, just with a different suspension curve. I didn’t do near the amount of climbing you will on it and it was already wearing on me. The Mega was made to tolerate on easy climbs and crush going down. I think if you plan to do any substantial amount of climbing that is not fire road, you’ll regret having the Mega. The first reason being the only place the Mega really stood out to me was on descents. I ended up going with the Hightower for the same reasons I’m going to recommend the Hightower for you.
